My Cat : Love

I found love today 

Lost 

Alone 

Hungry 

Hiding 

Scared 

Like me 

I sat by her side 

Our hearts speaking 

Our souls connecting 

We had no words 

But an unspoken connect 

She came and sat on my lap 

I petted her 

She purred and snuggled 

She found home 

I found home 

And once again the universe whispered to me 

Love will find you 

If you keep your heart open 

Even if it is wounded and bleeding 

Love is the cause 

Love is the cure 

Love can be heartless

Love is pure 

But it will always come back to you 

Double what you gave 

But not from the same person 

Not in the same form 

That I WANT IT

It asked me 

Do you want the present 

Or the wrapping 

It gently shared 

Love that is around you 

Is the love that you carry within 

The love that you give yourself

For making me believe in love
